Catfish And The Bottlemen have unexpectedly canceled their upcoming tours in Australia and the United States.
The Welsh band had previously canceled a show in Ireland on August 31, citing illness of a band member just before doors opened. Now, it appears their entire Australian tour, scheduled to start on September 4, has been called off due to the same issue. Fans received notice from ticketing partner Moshtix that all Australian dates are canceled, with the band expressing their disappointment over the situation.
Additionally, their October and November tour dates in the US have also been canceled. Fans have reported receiving cancellation notices via social media.
Earlier this year, Catfish And The Bottlemen released the single ‘Showtime’, marking their return with new music after a five-year hiatus. This track will be part of their forthcoming fourth album, following 2019’s ‘The Balance’. Their last live performance together was in 2021.
The band recently headlined the Reading & Leeds festival, where NME praised their performance, noting their strong presence and stagecraft. Despite this, the unexpected tour cancellations have left everyone disappointed,
