On Saturday, April 21, Bella’s Bartok will headline at The Barbary in Philadelphia, with This Way to the Egress and Gringo Motel as openers.

The three groups are coming together to create a Circus Punk Spectacular. Circus Punk is a combination of punk rock and circus music, merging a currently popular genre with a classic sound.

With The Barbary’s close-knit venue environment, this night is sure to be energetic and rowdy with the audience and the bands. As mentioned on the group’s Facebook page, “Bella’s Bartok sonically and lyrically delivers a sweaty, soulful dance-party that is sure to leave the audience happily breathless.”

The band also aims to deliver an “uproarious, joyful, eclectic sound” with their music and live shows.

The music is reminiscent of songs on a Tim Burton movie soundtrack, so be prepared for something wickedly upbeat that Jack Skellington would definitely approve of.

The event is 21+, but, if you’re of the age, it is definitely worth checking out if interested in hearing something different. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show starting at 8 p.m., and tickets are $7 in advance/$10 at doors.

If unable to make it to the event, be sure to check out Bella’s Bartok on one of their other upcoming tour dates, listed on their website here or learn even more about the band on their Facebook page.
